In collaboration with Meliá Resort on the tranquil northern bay of Choeng Mon, Orion Retreat occupies the intersection of five-star comfort and genuine therapeutic intent. The founders — a Reiki Master and an energy healer who arrived in Thailand in 2000 and never quite left — have been curating holistic detox programmes since 2006, drawing guests from across the world. The programmes combine fasting and detoxification with yoga, breathwork, Reiki sessions and craniosacral therapy; the food, served at the beachfront restaurant, is nutritious, inventive and plant-based.
