Full Moon, Light Touch

The Gulf’s most notorious beach party still draws thousands to Haad Rin on neighbouring Koh Phangan — though seasoned Samui regulars know better than to stay overnight. Ferries and speedboats shuttle across from Koh Samui until dawn, making a villa return far preferable to sleeping beside the speakers.

August remains the busiest. September, meanwhile, offers a softer version of the same spectacle, with fewer crowds and greener seas — though late-season weather occasionally disrupts crossings.
