Friday Evening Rituals
Green season lends Samui’s night markets a slower, more local rhythm. The best of them arrive just before sunset, when the island trades beach clubs for grilled seafood, cocktail carts and wandering jazz musicians.
The Friday market at Fisherman’s Village Night Market remains the island’s classic evening promenade: lantern-lit lanes lined with street food, handmade crafts and tables set almost directly on the sand.
Further south, Lamai Night Market offers a more relaxed local mood with live music and excellent seafood, while Nathon Night Food Market feels refreshingly unvarnished — ideal for food photography and glimpses of everyday island life.
For rainy evenings, Chaweng Night Market provides a more casual, food-first alternative.
